Forumrules

Here are the rules of the forum MakeWebGames

OBSCENE LANGUAGE: While we do not expect everyone to speak like an angel, we will not tolerate language that, in our discretion, is considered vulgar and/or obscene. The use of such language, whether or not you consider it vulgar, is not acceptable. This includes its use in casual and public speech, racial links, ESP contacts, or even in a character's name. A good rule of thumb would be what one might hear on prime-time television. However, it will always be up to our discretion.
HARASSMENT: Continual unwarranted verbal harassment, or unprovoked harassment via character action, is not tolerated. Any user going out of their way to harass another user through the use of the forums, or private messages, can and will be punished. Please note that scrolling (continual filling of the screen with text simply for the sake of annoyance) falls under harassment. This can be a gray area and we try to be lenient towards a greater freedom of expression due to the inherent conflicts and backgrounds between our users races. This, however, does not give the user license to say anything that they want (even if it is not considered obscene) as often as they want, to another user. 'Verbal Harassment' -'Mind ' - Using words and mannerisms toward another user to convey unwanted sexually suggestive actions. Ok, this is a definite gray area and we try to be lenient towards a greater freedom of expression due to the inherent conflicts and backgrounds between our user races, but this does not give the user license to say anything that they want (even if it is not considered obscene) as often as they want, to another user.
REPRESENT YOURSELF AS AN EMPLOYEE/STAFF: This includes faking staff email addresses, and faking staff messenger service names. Any user who does this in any form may, and probably will, be locked out of any and all makewebgames.com products forever.
STAFF HARASSMENT: Continual abuse of the assist command, the report command, or harassment of a staff member through any means is not allowed. Punishments may vary from short lockouts to give a user time to cool off to permanent lockouts in extreme cases. Please note that ?staff fishing? (going to different staff members for help with the same issue until you get an answer you like) is strictly considered harassment and will be punished.
PORNO OR OTHER ADULT ONLY MATERIAL: Contains highly explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts, including but not limited to sexual language of a violent or threatening nature, directed at another individual or group of individuals, particularly when unsolicited is not allowed and will be punished as well.
VIOLENCE: Depicts violence in a gratuitous manner, without journalistic or artistic merit, primarily intended to agitate or cause emotional distress is not something we want to see. Avoid it or face the consequences.
VIRUS / TROJAN AND OTHER MALWARES: We will block and report any attempt to send files containing or facilitating the transfer of software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware or telecommunications equipment.
ILLEGAL BEHAVIORS: We will punish and report people which advertise illegal causes/ideas/materials/etc or incites illegal activity, such as instructional information on how to build a bomb or make counterfeit money. As well as any other activities deemed illegal by staff.
COPYRIGHT INFREGEMENT: We will punish and report to the owners whoever infringes anyone else's intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, rights of privacy, or other proprietary rights.
THREAD BUMPING: Everyone wants to get as much exposure as possible, and we do believe that from time to time it?s useful to bump a thread, however don?t wake up very old threads, nor spam to be kept on top. A bump once in a while is fine, more is not. If we spot such activity we will simply delete the thread, and if we see you continue such activity we may even block your account. A good time-frame for thread bumping is leaving at least 48 hours between bumps, however given good reason posting more often will be acceptable.
MULTIPLE THREADS ON THE SAME SUBJECT: Don't post the same thing over more than one forum / category. This is just annoying and will be considered as spam and all threads by said user on the subject will be removed. This can also result in possible further punishments depending on the case.
MULTI-POST: Try to edit your posts if possible, and only reply to yourself if at least 24 hours has passed between your last post and now, or if, for whatever reason, you cannot edit the last post. If doing it for the latter reason please leave a message in the post stating such to prevent accidental punishment.
ADVERTISEMENT / SPAM: We are all interested in driving more traffic to our own projects; however there is ways to do it, rules to follow and especially right places to advertise your work. Spam/Advertisements in the wrong sections or other peoples thread will be removed. In the case of other peoples thread this will be case based and if given permission by the thread starter it may be acceptable if all other rules are followed.
BE CONSTRUCTIVE: If possible, instead of ?flaming? somebody, be constructive. For example instead of saying ?your site sucks!?, say what you really don?t like and what could be done to improve it. That will help everyone, and make the community more friendly.
